Monaco: the very heart of the Grand Prix, but also the very heart of yachting. This makes Monaco rather special; the only other place in which you will find more than one heart is in an octopus!

On Saturday 14th May these two worlds came together as one beating heart in celebrating the return of the biennial Historic Grand Prix, the week before seeing the build-up to the main event with the practice runs along the track, right outside the Princess Yachts Monaco office window in Port Hercule. Only the drivers could get closer to the track.

Princess Yachts Monaco continued their partnership with Bentley by hosting an exclusive two-day joint experience in Monaco, welcoming their guests to immerse themselves in this world of luxury and speed for which Princess Yachts and Bentley Motors are renowned.

The event started with a Bentley test drives at the stunning Monte Carlo Bay Hotel. With a row of beautifully shining cars lining the way, the centre piece being the Classic 1954 model, PYM and Bentley guests were welcomed into a relaxation area before being taken out on the roads of Monaco by the famous Bentley Boys.

After the excitement of roaring along the coastal road in these luxury cars, guests were then treated to a ‘water taxi’ service from Monte Carlo Bay to the Port of Cap D’Ail, where they enjoyed beautiful views of Monaco from the sea, including the impressive Oceanographic Museum, whose beauty can only truly be appreciated from the water.

Here there was the opportunity to view the exceptional M Class superyacht, the Princess 32M, impressing guests with her Fendi interior and deceiving spaciousness. Exceptionally maintained, her large deck spaces, bars on both main deck aft and on the flybridge, Jacuzzi, and full beam Master and VIP suites, proved very popular, showcasing the extreme attention to detail and luxury that is prized by Princess owners all over the world.

Champagne and cocktails were then enjoyed at the Philippe Starck A’Trego restaurant, with beautiful views not only out to sea, but also of the Princess 32M which was moored just beneath. A wonderful dinner followed, with live music provided by the exceptionally talented Garçons Chics.

The event carried on into the next day, with our guests enjoying arguably one of the best views of the Grand Prix, from a private terrace on the start line of the race. Champagne flowed, endless sushi eaten, and the centre piece macaron pyramid eaten before the start of the race.

Princess Yachts Monaco would like to extend their thanks to Bentley for co-hosting this wonderful event.
